Peter's Thoughts
Leftover Night is a chaos festival held in great fear the world over. It can occur at any moment, in any month of the calendar. It is the day the contents of the refrigeration unit in the home of any hapless unfortunates erupt forth in a dark display of cruelty.
But in this short debacle in the lives of Timby and Nixy, which has little or nothing to do with Leftover Night, a hapless unfortunate among the contents of the refrigeration unit in the home of some desperate basket cases resorts to self-defense.

"Nixy! This sandwich looks to be in the uncanny valley of consumption! How old is it?"
"Why don't you try it and find out?"
"It seems conscious..."
"But aren't you curious?"
"Ready... Take aim... Expire!"

I love a lot of things about this comic. One of those things is how the first couple of panels show this barely-restrained madness in the world of Timby and Nixy. For example, how the fridge has this steam practically billowing out of it, as if it's some sort of cryogenic freezer. And the way Nixy is just getting ready to chow down on a flower with his fork.
Great work, Peter. I hope to see hundreds more of these before we move on to bigger and better things.

Sidesplitting
As funny as the comics that you draw are, Peter (and they are terribly funny) I sometimes think that the commentary you write is just as funny, or even funnier.
It's just too funny!
The cartoon is hysterical too. I also noticed the odd things that Nixy is eating, but I missed the steam from the fridge. But I did notice that just before the sandwich morphs, it looks as if Nixy is jumping out of his seat. Perhaps he's been through something like this before.
And finally there's that astonishing picture in the last panel. It has mushrooms and everything. The fur is long enough to put a ribbon in. It's unspeakable! I laughed so hard!
We should take our comfort from God's word, not from the circumstances of our lives.
