Description
This was the moment Nixy had been waiting for. He had carefully and skillfully prepared his own recipe for soup that included mostly secret ingredients.
It was to keep him practiced in preparation for the professional competition he was to participate in later that week, and this was the first person he had convinced to taste his newly perfected soup.
...Little did he know, he wouldn't get a chance to compete that week.

Stinkin' hilarious
I laughed till I was weak when I first saw this one, and this time I laughed till my face hurt! This is easily one of the funniest things I think I've ever seen, Quartz. The devil looks a bit like Bela Lugosi, doesn't he? And what a funny way to depict the unpleasant qualities of the food! A glimpse of Hell in the background, rather than fire belching forth from Timby's mouth. It's original and staggeringly funny!
I laughed for a long time again when I read this.
This cartoon is a marvelous mix of over- and (believe it or not) understatement. Thank you for a couple of good hard belly laughs, Quartz.
We should take our comfort from God's word, not from the circumstances of our lives.
