This is a real conversation. There's nothing at all unusual about two guys just standing in front of a dilapidated old house in the middle of nowhere, bantering about filming and smog. Nope, nothing unusual at all.
The really sad part is that Kevin and I actually talk this way half the time. If we want to get serious, somebody practically has to pull out a Bible and open with prayer. But really, I wouldn't have it any other way.
We were indeed in the vast wasteland east of Columbus (known as Pataskala) filming earlier this week. We didn't get very much done on account of my sister's birthday party (happy birthday sis!) but we're optimistic that this next week we'll fare better.
Speaking of next week's filming, that's the last week we have scheduled for Bucking Sailboat filming. I'm genuinely optimistic that we will wrap filming for Bucking Sailboat by the end of next week.
Of course I'm sure there will be some random, extra filming to clean up loose ends throughout post-production. But the bulk of the work really needs to get done by the end of next week.
Look for an announcement soon tacking a real date on to the end of the hiatus. (Now is a really good time to begin following us if you aren't already!)
On another note, I thought I should get ahead of something that might otherwise be confusing. The ring on my hand is not a wedding band. (Wrong hand, yo!) It is instead a purity ring, representing abstinence until marriage. Yes, I am an incurable romantic; you cynics can go stare at a blank wall.
